SNL Season 48 First Show Date and Ticket Lottery?

Hello all,
I was curious if anyone happens to know the date for the first show of season 48 already? Also wondering how far in advance do they open up the ticket lottery prior to a season starting! Thanks for any insight anyone can provide!

first show will probably be october 1st? lottery opened right at the beginning of august last year so i’d assume the same for this year but i could be wrong
Order is still "processing" - show is in 48 hours

I bought resale snake pit tickets (back in December) for Arlington for August 18th and 20th.
Ticketmaster shows the order is "processing" and that I'll receive my tickets before August 20th. The obvious problem is that the first show is in two days, on the 18th. I've contacted TM in several ways and they are "escalating", but so far I am not getting anything that's more than a vague answer.
Is anyone else in this same boat?

Ticketmaster seems to be taking people's money for tickets they can't guarantee. Still nothing. Doors open in less than 4 hours.
